The State of the World's Children Special Edition: Celebrating 20 Years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child

On 20 November 1989, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child. To commemorate this landmark, UNICEF has dedicated a special edition of its flagship report, The State of the World’s Children (SOWC), to child rights. This new interactive site graphically displays through maps, tables and graphs, the progress that has been made in the last 20 years and the challenges that lie ahead, as they are outlined in the SOWC report.
